White Lies - Farewell to the Fairground from the album “To Lose My Life”.
Spotify link: http://open.spotify.com/track/32dk3UXnGv7lpN7FE3K2ws
The so much mentioned White Lies released their debut album early this year, entitled To Lose My Life, which also is the title of the debut single. That song was given a lot of airtime on norwegian radio, and I [...]

Flight of the Conchords - Carol Brown from the record I Told You I Was Freaky.
Spotify link: http://open.spotify.com/track/0nlNf6h6vQANi1VSlh3Aau
The second season of Flight of the Conchords was unfortunately (but not unexpected) not as good as the first season, for various reasons. One reason was that the songs were not quite as strong. I also felt that [...]

Arctic Monkeys - Pretty Visitors from the album Humbug.
Spotify link: http://open.spotify.com/track/7LQYHt7q67kKlNNkEiiAZI
I’m traditionally a pretty big Arctic Monkeys fan, I really enjoyed their last two albums. I must admit that I was a bit let down by Humbug (I don’t think the influence from Josh Homme, Queens of the Stone Age, was of positive nature), but [...]

Hi!
It’s already December, and I’ve decided to make an advent calendar here at saiboten.com. The rules are simple: I’ve created a list of 24 great tracks from albums released this year, and I will create a new post for each day, hopefully containing a spotify-link to the track if it’s available there. I will also [...]

My friend Peder recorded another video of one of our live gigs. It’s by coincidence the same song as last time, but still .. entertaining? We were booked the same day as the concert took place, and hadn’t rehearsed for months, and our guitar player had to play bass. Still loads of fun though.

I’m currently in Denver Minis backingband (sometimes) called “The pillars of salt”, and we played a concert at the famous “Hulen” (the cage) on thursday. The crowd was truly amazing. Since I’ve got hold of some great photos, I thought I’d share them - Click on the photos for better quality:

It’s the final countdown. Let’s begin.
3. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
The self entitled debut album from this five-piece band from Seattle is astonishingly well done, and should be on everyone’s top album lists of 2008 (and it is on most of them). The album features great vocals, great musiciansship and great melodies. There are no [...]
