Wow, that's really helpful, fast forward and rewind works like a charm. :-) Thanks a lot. I still like the shuffle itself, but the headphones tend to break pretty damn easily.

I loathe my iPod shuffle. But it's cheaper than buying a new battery for my previous ones.

That being said, to fast forward, click once and then hold until you get to a spot where you think you need to be. You can hear the little bits of dialogue/music as you press hold. If I had to guess, I'd say 1 second is at least 5 seconds. Maybe more.

To go back, double-click, then hold.

At least, this is the US version that can do this.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback! :-)

Yes, that might be right, but I still think that each song/podcast "defaults" to one language based on some metadata, and if that's not correct, you have to change it manually for each file. But still, I believe you're right, you can change it.

Very useful review. :)
I believe you can change the preferred language in iTunes.

"Apple's worst product in years" - really? Just because of the click to play interface??
Have you used a recent generation iPod, or the iPhone? I regularly plug my iPhone headset into the phone and just click the button / mic once. It starts playing my music. I don't have to turn on and unlock the phone, no need to navigate to the iPod function.
